HistoryRobert O. Cone, Jr. founded CONE BIOPRODUCTS in 1989. Prior to starting CONE BIOPRODUCTS, Cone enjoyed ownership of several biomedical companies specializing in polyclonal antiserum, purified proteins, as well as products similar to those currently offered. Our sourcing, handling, processing, formulating, and testing competencies have been developed over more than thirty-five years.
FacilitiesCone Bioproducts operates two facilities in Seguin, Texas. Our 2,400 square foot headquarters and immunology/serology laboratories are located at 1008 N. River Street. Main production laboratories and warehouse operations are contained in 7,000 square feet located at 1012 N. Austin Street – across the street from headquarters. Our facilities include walk-in freezer and cold-room space of approximately 9,000 cubic feet and 4,500 cubic feet, respectively. Several laminar flow work stations are available for aseptic processing. Facilities are compliant with QSR and ISO 13485.
ProductsThe company’s products are designed for use in, or as ingredients of, in vitro diagnostic products for immunology/serology, chemistry, immunoassay, and other laboratory test disciplines. Our offering include families of: human serum albumin; processed human plasma; proficiency test specimens; and, quality control products. CONE BIOPRODUCTS sells products to IVD manufacturers, distributors, proficiency program providers, and other business entities between the company and end-user laboratories.
